About Us

Family Bible Church is committed to glorifying God by emphasizing submission to Christ, providing expository Bible teaching, making disciples through evangelism and training, and incorporating families and individuals into a vibrant church community.

This commitment comes by grace through faith, believing that Jesus Christ died to pay the price of sin on behalf of sinners, and is put to practice by obedience to the Word of God. We’re committed to expository Bible teaching that uses a verse by verse / passage by passage explanation of the Scriptures based on a grammatical, and historical interpretation that comes from seeking to discover what the text says in its context.

We are also committed to evangelism by using the Bible to encourage sinners to place their faith in Christ, and by Biblical training that helps equip believers to serve God in their community. We believe the local church is a place for people to be a family that serves and cares for one another in a way that honors God.

Family Bible Church is a new church plant located in Knoxville, Tennessee that began holding public worship in November 2021. It is currently being led by Southeast Church Extension (SCE) Executive Director, Dan Nave.

There are also two fostering churches with pastors that are helping the new work. The church currently meets at a non-profit building with a goal of targeting the Halls Crossroads area. This area is a growing community that is easily accessible to shopping and interstate travel.
